September 21Rotary World Peace DayRotary Club of Whyalla have organised a walk from the Ada Ryan Gardens toRotary Park - meeting at the Peace Poles then going to the cafe for coffee and felowship
Rotary World Peace Day is celebrated on September 21 each year, marking the International Day of Peace. This day is dedicated to imagining communities where understanding replaces division and cooperation prevails over conflict. Rotary members work year-round to address the roots of tension and build conditions where peace can take hold. They prepare leaders to prevent and resolve conflict through Peace Centres, Action Groups, Friendship Exchanges, and youth programs. Local projects, such as mentoring young people, supporting schools, and helping neighbours in need, also contribute to the ripple effect of goodwill.
