Lesley has arranged for her Boomerang Bags to have a display at the Peppercorn Markets on 27th April at Samaritan College. The Bags now carry the Rotary Logo, and sales support The Rotary Foundation. 'Spencer Gulf Adventures'
Once upon a time, Steve ran a very successful fishing charter business. However, the initial 3-year Snapper Fishing Ban put a stop to that very quickly. At the end of that, a further 3-year ban and COVID put any dreams of resurrecting that business was put totally out of reach and regrettably Stave had to sell his boat, the pride of his life. A chance encounter with someone interested in purchasing his boat who also had a glass-bottomed boat to sell turned things around, and Spencer Gulf Adventures was launched.
Steve is passionate about the marine environment and his extensive knowledge makes these tours an unmissable attraction for Whyalla. The tours he provides are affordable for the whole family and provide an opportunity to see all varieties of marine life up close. From May to early August, he operated Cuttlefish tours but for the rest of the year he operates out of the Wghyalla marina and he says this is the best tour of all. Please visit his website using the link below to see all of what Steve offers.
The Trevan Park Nature Additions are taking shape. With the assistance of City Council employees Tracy Robertson and Graeme Stephenson, eight large logs and a number of smaller ones were transported to Trevan Park and carefully nudged into position by Graeme and Tracy. All under the watchful eye of Rotarian's Lesley and Keith. Some soft-fill bark chips have since been added and the 'Yarning Circle is now complete. End of Stage 1.
