GUEST SPEAKERS
Tim Mee and Maurice O'Connell The Rotary-Ukraine New Dawn Project.
Tim Mee is the D9510 International Service Director and District Governor Nominee for 2026-27 whilst Maurice O'Connell is one of the Project Team Members of New Dawn.
Maurice described himself as an accidental volunteer as whilst visiting Ukraine, he met with members of New Dawn, a Ukranian volunteer NGO who were seeking funds to rebuild some of the community infrastructure damaged during the war.
With funding from various international partners including Rotary, the New Dawn team of engineers and tradesmen have repaired schools and hospitals to allow them to resume functioning despite the damaged caused during the war. Maurice showed some pictures showing the startling results of this program. Results that have transformed the lives of the residents in the area of Odessa.
