The journey was not without incident though as the bus was somewhat unreliable at times. At the same time, Leanne was celebrating their grandchild's 21st Birthday. Lesley's highlight was that her Queensland family cane through the recent floods came through unscathed. Kerre went to 'Writer's week' in Adelaide and on her return to Whyalla did a 'Glass-bottom Boat Tour'.
Board Meeting Report.
A wonderful result from the SCASA awards, I will put something up on the Webpage and I have already put it on the Facebook page.

After a lengthy discussion the Board decided to try having the Project’s and Admin meeting separately, away from the hotel. To that end – Next week will be the committee meetings because of the following week being at Eyre Eye Centre. The admin committee will meet next week at my house and the Project committee will meet at Brian & Leanne’s house. The committees look like this.

Still on membership can I ask you to follow up with those people who you thought may like to come to a meeting an potentially become members. We need more members
Future speakers – we are looking good for the next couple of months. As you would have seen in the bulletin. There are lots more to come.
Club History
Keithtook us back in time to Meeting 2866 on 27th September 2011, a Club Assembly.
The President was Soto Stuppos. Michele Hart was the Secretary. We had 18 members plus 1 honorary – Jim Pollock, the Mayor. The highlight was Jack Odgers's birthday. Jack was inducted 11 years earlier and has been in 100% attendance ever since.
Amongst other things, Soto, David Dunn and Brian Moodie had completed repainting the Pavilion and are now looking for a ‘scrubber’ to finish the floor.
The results of the Club Survey were released with the following outcomes.
Members enjoyed being Rotarians and in particular the fellowship and projects.
We would be more visible if we did more than just fundraise. We need more visible projects. We rarely do a project that we can hang our hat on that is visible to the public. (At the end of this process we added the Harmony Globe to the Foreshore.)
The final word went to Glen Eden whose mantra was a simple sentence of 10 words, each of two letters.
If you are unable to attend a Club Meeting or function your apology can be made to Secretary Brian Herd 0410 313 271 before 12 noon on the day of the meeting
