Mental Health Award

Cassandra is the recipient of the Rotary Club of Whyalla Mental Health Award

Tonight our speaker was Cassandra Ward.  Cassandra is the last recipient of the Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health, RC of Whyalla award.  Cassandra gave us a wonderful insight into her background,  being born and brought up in Whyalla.  She is currently working with Centacare as a Senior Social Worker, working in the Schools as a counselor.  Working with children who are disengaged from school.  Cassandra also provides training in the Mental Health First Aid Course in the 12 to 25-year-olds.  Cassandra was asked many questions and was able to answer them with ease and poise.  When Michele gave the vote of thanks she put it quite fittingly when she told Cassandra how impressed we all were with her knowledge and commitment to Mental Health.  Cassandra is a truly worthy recipient of our award.
