Thought of the Week

A reminder that we are operating as traffic marshals for the Christmas Pageant this year. The pageant starts at 6:00 pm and volunteers are required to assemble at 4:00 pm. Leanne is attending planning meetings.

Some Member's Highlights

Brian Moodie (B1) noticed the young lady who lives next door sitting in her car with her head down and not moving. Fearing the worst he hurried over and knocked on the window, only to find she was sending a text on her phone. Brian Herd (B2) has been racking up frequent flyer points having been to Adelaide 4 times and Port Augusta 2 times and somewhere else 6 times. so far this month. Perry is now over the shock of turning 60.

GUEST SPEAKER
- Lesley Hartup -
Northern Europe - A 'Not so frozen' Tale

For thirty-one days, Lesley and her friend Janine boarded a cruise liner and travelled around Northern Europe, visiting Germany, Norway, Iceland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and The Shetland Islands. Lesley saw the Northern Lights when in Norway, visited Skara Brae and the Standing Stones of Stennes when in Scotland, Conwy Castle in Wales and a host of other 'Bucket List' places Lesley had always wanted to visit.
It was mostly blue skies all the way and overall, in 31 days, she and Janine cruised 8,712 Nautical Miles.
