We share a passion for community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who strive to make positive changes in our community and the world.

Raffle:
Jane prepared a raffle with multiple prizes with everyone's name in an envelope. First out was Perry who won a Rotary satchel, followed by Brian Herd, who won the chocolates.
PRESIDENT'S REMARKS - Jane Owens.
We have achieved the 13 goals necessary to reach this year's Citation.
Membership is a critical issue for the club. We know that family commitments and attitudes to volunteering have changed, and we need to adapt. There was much discussion on how this should be achieved.
Jane advised that the theme for the coming year would be 'UNITE FOR GOOD' but in future there would be no large scale theme promotion.
The 70th Birthday Celebrations have been cancelled. Rotary Int. officially recognise 75th Club anniversaries, but not 70th's.
GENERAL
Leanne advised that this Year's Changeover Dinner would be at the Hockey Club on Sat 28th June at 6:30 pm. The menu is still being finalised but is likely to consist of an entree and choice of three main courses.
We decided to sell our noisy generator and after some discussion it was decided that a price of $400 would be appropriate.
TREASURER
Club Admin. The Club is in a sound financial position. We are up to date with all our Rotary obligations. Seven members have contributed $100 toward the Centurion program. (Tax deductible).
Projects. The MCU continues to be the driver of our fundraising efforts. We have recently donated $2,000 to Drought Relief, $1,000 to ShelterBox, $2,500 to The Rotary Foundation (incl. Polio Plus) and $340 to assist a student attend the Fisk Street School Camp.
BOOMERANG BAGS SELL AT PEPPERCORN MARKETS. Lesley's dedicated team who diligently sew and make the bags were supported by Club members at The Peppercorn Markets recently.
Proceeds from the sale of the bags support the work of The Rotary Foundation.
Interest in Rotary and sales of the bags was high.
