Treasurer - Keith
The state of finances is in a healthy state.
Keith began with Club Admin, advising that we are up to date with our District and Rotary International Commitments A few Club Subs still outstanding at $250 with the option to become a Centurion and support The Rotary Foundation with a further $100 (Tax Deductible).
We have raised good funds from recent outings with the MCU and we have a good level of stock on hand to cater for our next event.

Upcoming Events - Keith again.
Dec 6th. Tom Curtain a Good Life Tour at the Jubilee Park Showgrounds. 5 pm - 8 pm. Dec 7th Whyalla Hospital Fete.
Dec 14th. Whyalla Christmas Pageant, After Pageant Fair & Carols evening.

General
  • Kendra will be our next member, and Jane will induct her on 12th November.
  • The 'Blue Folder' in the MCU has been updated.
  • The Christmas Pageant, After Pageant Fair will require a whole of club effort as we will be doing crowd marshalling as well as MCU Operations. Beyond Bank staff have offered to help.
  • Dinner meeting’s agenda, a number of items were discussed
    • Attendance – it was agreed to keep a record of attendance with no negatives to it.  Action Mic to look at the web page for the area where we can record it.
    • It was recognised that some members do not know about the Four Way Test.  It was agreed to conclude the meeting with the Four Way Test.
    • The question of the highlights and the Sergeant session was raised to gain understanding.  After some discussion the meeting agreed to combine them.  We will have the highlights but there will be a fine of 1 or 2 dollars depending on the importance of the highlight.  It was also suggested that we keep the highlights short.
  • Guest Speakers for the 5th and the 12th of November.  It was agreed that Brian M and Shelley will do a quiz for the meeting of 5 November.  On 12 November we will have the induction of Kendra and the report back from the Board Meeting and Club History.
  • Other ways to Raise funds – Kerre.  Kerre gave us a thought-provoking presentation to help us to think outside the square using our strength-based approach – suggestions included selling chocolates at the Physio therapists and applying for grants and using our specific strengths and skill sets.

Committee Restructure

The formation of an Admin Committee was accepted by the Club members.
  • It was agreed the things the Admin Comm will look after will include – speakers, the calendar on the web page, fun/fellowship activities for members, the Christmas party with Whyalla Norrie, the changeover, the Club anniversary next year.
  • The meetings will be the same night as the Service Projects committee – in another room after the meal, as will the Service Projects committee
  • Members of the Admin Committee will be, President Jane as the Membership Chair, Keith as the Bulletin Editor, Shelley as the Program Director, Kendra for her skills with social media and Greg for his skills too. It would be good to have Leanne Herd on the Admin committee but that will be her choice when she is back.
  • It was agreed the things the Admin Comm will look after will include speakers, the calendar on the web page, fun/fellowship activities for members, the Christmas Party with Whyalla Norrie, the changeover, the Club anniversary next year.
  • The Service Projects Committee will consist of Brian Herd (Chair), Perry, Mic, Lesley, Jari, Kerre. Brian Moodie has generously offered to float between the two committees.
