Lesley had a challenging and not entirely pleasant few weeks. There was the joy and excitement of the nuptials shared between Mic and Nyssa, and then Lesley was forced to look after their children, while battling pneumonia, which is not something that anyone would want to deal with. Compounding this were the passing of several family members. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Lesley.
Perry had nothing to report.
Leanne shared a delightful story about the joys of pet ownership and owning white dogs. The dogs went into every puddle leading to a bath because they were black. Then, because Leanne’s puppy is short and doesn’t know how to cock a leg, Brian was forced to mow the lawn to remove any……unpleasant interaction with the grass when sitting or walking, however, the puppy got out and is now green. Too late for St Patrick’s day, but something to remember for next year.
B1 spoke a little drivel about a team in red yellow and blue, which I refuse to acknowledge, mainly because my team had had 1 good win recently, against his team.
Jari shared the sad news that his father had passed away 2 months ago at the age of 93. Jari hopes that he has those genes, as do we all. Jari was also an excellent sport, receiving numerous jabs about being a “visiting member” or “new member’, really we are just glad he is back.
Jennifer claimed to have no highlight.
Cassandra finally got her computer monitor and computer set up right for gaming, which led to her almost missing the meeting because she was deeply involved.
B2 stated that walking the dogs at the dog park on a day with a beautiful winter’s sun is pretty great.
Kerre shared that her computer has died, but she also won 1st place at the Eyre hotel pub quiz, which is no mean feat.
Greg’s highlight was that the 2 dogs, Captain Jack and Billy have not killed each other yet, and that his housemate is due to return soon so he can hand of the onerous task of puppy sitting back to the one that truly deserves it.
