67th Changeover Dinner
On Friday8th July we held our Annual Changeover Dinner at Breeze Bistro.
Outgoing President Michele Hart presented her report on the past year, focussing on the projects we achieves, the new members we added, and thanking members for their support.
A highlight of the evening was the awarding of two Paul Harris Fellows s to longstanding Rotarian Bob Norman and to one of our most supportive Friends, David Owens. Both were caught completely unawares but both richly deserved it.
.New President Brian herd provided a passionate speech outlining this year's goals and urging us to embrace the 'Imagine Rotary' theme of World President Jennifer Jones.
'Imagine; what Rotary could become if we embrace change with the right attitude. Our online Raffle of the wonderful print by Lauren Shivvaan was won by Kerre Willsher. This year's Rotary International Theme is Imagine Rotary.
We were privileged to have both the current District Governor Paul Thomas and the Immediate Past District Governor Jeff Neale present as well as Mayor Clare McLaughlin, Deputy Mayor Phil Stone, and CEO Justin Commons.
A stunning photograph by member Lauren Shivvaan was raffled during the evening and was won by Kerre Wilsher who was present on the night to accept her prize.
At the end of the formalities, we were entertained by the Celtic rhythms of Hawkeye the Noo. and this year, as the COVID=19 restrictions of the previous year were lifed, we were allowed to dance!

KERRE'S INVESTMENT PAYS DIVIDENDS
Kerre has always been a strong supporter of our fundraising events and is one of our most committed members. It was a great result to see her take home the fantastic photograph mounted on canvas and donated by Lauren Shivvaan. The raffle tickets were sold online and grossed $1,000 for community projects.
it was quite an honor to have three Rotarians in the room who have served our District as District Governor. Immediate Past District Governor Jeff Neale, current District Governor Paul Thomas and our own Past District Governor Jane Owens.
DG Paul took the opportunity at our meeting to thank Jeff for his service and contribution as DG and presented him with a gift as a token of thanks.
