The Whyalla One Steel Pageant and After Pageant Fair has now drawn to a close, leaving behind wonderful memories and a strong sense of community pride. Months of planning and effort went into creating this event, and it was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with so many remarkable organisations throughout our vibrant city. Each group brought their own unique energy and commitment, showcasing what can be achieved when we all work together for a shared purpose.
Perfect Weather and Joyful Festivities
We were fortunate that the weather was on our side, blessing the day with sunshine and comfortable conditions for both the dazzling floats and enthusiastic participants. The pageant atmosphere was truly magical, as children excitedly drew on the road while awaiting the festivities and the much-anticipated arrival of Santa. Their laughter and creativity set the tone for a day filled with happiness and community connection.
After Pageant Fair: Fun, Food, and Fundraising
After the pageant procession, families and friends made their way to Civic Park to continue the celebrations at the After Pageant Fair. Rotary was once again front and centre, serving up our famous donuts, hotdogs, hot chips, and refreshing drinks. Every purchase made at our stall goes directly back into supporting local and global initiatives, so it’s heartening to see the community enjoying themselves while also helping to fund future projects that benefit Whyalla and the world at large.
Santos Community Christmas Carols: A Heartfelt Finale
The evening concluded with the beautiful Santos Community Christmas Carols—a highlight that brought everyone together in song and reflection. The carols provided a fitting end to a day filled with goodwill, showcasing the true spirit of Christmas and the bonds that tie our community together.
