Whyalla Playground Harvesting Status Report

Status as of 01/12/2025

Overview

The Whyalla Playground Harvesting project involves the dismantling, repurposing, and overseas shipment of playgrounds from various locations around Whyalla.  As of 01/12/2025, twelve playgrounds are included in this initiative, with significant progress made on their removal, storage, repair, and dispatch.

Summary

Out of the twelve playgrounds involved in the Whyalla harvesting project, all but the Foreshore playground have been dismantled.
The successful shipment of the Taylor Street playground to Mongolia marks a key milestone in the project.
All other playgrounds are currently in stages of repair, storage or transit.
The future dismantling of the Foreshore playground is dependent on the advancement of the foreshore development works.
